Recently, CCMU successfully held the 2026 “Chinese Language + Cultural Tourism Vocational Skills” Training Program for international students. Organized jointly by the International Cooperation and Exchange Center and the School of Culture and Tourism, the program trained a total of 93 international students from countries including Laos, Vietnam, Morocco and so on.
On May 19, the first session of the training program focused on mixology. Under the guidance of Instructor Yin Kaiming, the international students learned Chinese and Western mixology methods as well as related Chinese terminology. The instructor introduced the creative concepts and cultural significance of mixology to the students in Chinese, and the students then designed drinks based on various themes.
On June 29, the second session, the cultural interpretation skills training program took place at the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum. The international students experienced Chongqing’s history, culture, and development over time, listened to docents explain cultural relics in Chinese, and gained insight into the linguistic and cultural aspects of on-site Chinese interpretation. They learned about professional interpretation techniques such as pacing, body language, and content delivery.
This training program extended the classroom to practical training labs and museum, using Chinese as a tool for engaging with cultural relics. Through skills training in areas such as mixology and tour guiding, it enhanced the international students’ service awareness, communication skills, and cultural understanding.
